No. The free plan requires only your email address. No credit card is needed until you decide to upgrade to a paid plan.

AuthorQR uses magic link authentication. Enter your email address, and we will send you a secure link. Click it to sign in instantly. No password needed. If you are a new user, your account is created automatically when you click the magic link.

The free plan includes access to the Back-Matter Generator (3 generations), QR Code Creator (3 projects), Description Generator (3 generations), Ad Copy Generator (3 generations), and 1 reader funnel project. Free exports include an AuthorQR watermark.

Every QR code you create through AuthorQR points to a tracked AuthorQR link first, then redirects to your destination. This means we log every scan, and you can change the destination URL later without reprinting the QR code. Most QR tools create static links. Ours are built to be updated over time.

Yes. Because your QR points to an AuthorQR tracked link and not directly to your destination, you can update the destination URL in your dashboard at any time. The QR code in print stays the same — only the redirect changes. Dynamic QR destination editing is available on the Pro Author plan.

You can download your QR code as a PNG (for web and social) or SVG (for print and high-resolution use). SVG files scale to any size without quality loss, which is recommended for print-on-demand and cover work.

You enter your book title, author name, genre, tone, and reader goals. The AI generates polished, reader-facing back-matter copy that you can paste directly into your manuscript or edit to match your voice. The output is designed to guide readers toward your email list, next book, or reader community.

Yes. Content you generate using AuthorQR's AI tools is yours to use, edit, and publish. We do not claim ownership over your outputs. See our Terms of Service for details.

AuthorQR uses Claude, an AI model developed by Anthropic. We chose Claude for its strong understanding of narrative, tone, and author voice — qualities that matter for book marketing copy.

The Author Plan is $9/month and unlocks unlimited access to all live tools with no usage limits and no watermarks. The Pro Author Plan is $19/month and adds Campaign Manager, Scan Analytics, dynamic QR editing, and advanced reader funnels (coming soon). See the pricing section for a full comparison.

Yes. You can cancel anytime from your billing page inside the app. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not charge cancellation fees.
